WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE GESY (GENERAL HEALTHÂ SYSTEM)?
Beneficiaries aged up to 4 are allowed one free visit per year and it includes a dental check-up, giving oral hygiene instructions and discussing with the parent or guardian of the child about any unhealthy habits and treatment methods.
Beneficiaries from 4 to 6 years old are allowed one free visit per year including dental check-up, teeth cleaning and giving appropriate instructions to the parent or guardian of the child.
Beneficiaries aged 6 to 12 are allowed one free cleaning per year including dental check-up, teeth cleaning and local fluoride application.
Beneficiaries above 12 years old are allowed one free cleaning, including a dental check-up per year.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY GENERAL PRACTITIONER FOR TEETH SCALING THROUGH GESY?
No referral is required from your General Practitioner.
HOW OFTEN SHOULDÂ I VISIT THE DENTIST?
In order to maintain a good oral hygiene, it is optimal to visit the dentist every 6 months for a dental check-up.
